… And Refilling

Yes, it is true:  They actually ship a tank truck to the gas station to refill it.

Filling …

This is the only gas station in Vancouver that is solely accessible via water. Yes, it is completely surrounded by water in the heart of Coal Harbour.  We have more marinas with other gas stations but they are all land based.

Schoolbus

I see these buses all the time. However, most times they are empty. I do see students on a regular basis though – on public transit.

Beetle Art

While not that common, it is not unusual to find decorated cars somewhere parked in the city. I know, they have to get there somehow. Especially when a meter is running, but I yet have to see one actually driving on the roads.

I love this beetle. Each time I saw it, I discovered something new added.

I have not seen this car in a while, hopefully it comes back this summer. It was usually parked at the intersection Robson and Thurlow. I cannot wait to see how it looks like right now.

black bird

Orcas are “the” animal of British Columbia. Still, there is one animal one hardly can escape: crows.

They are part of the forest as well as of the city. They are simply everywhere.  I find them absolutely stunning and I am amazed by their intelligence and beauty. Too bad they do not sing.  . . . I miss Europe’s blackbirds.
